Child Advocacy Center of Rochester – Therapy Space Renovation

Nichols Construction Team is proud to have partnered with Architectura to support the Child Advocacy Center of Rochester (CAC) in their mission to provide a safe, healing environment for children who have experienced trauma and abuse.

Our team transformed a lower-level space into a warm, welcoming, and nature-inspired therapy area thoughtfully designed to nurture hope and healing. From simulated skylights that brighten the space to a cozy cabin nook and lifelike artificial trees, every element was designed with intention – to bring comfort, safety, and calm to children and families receiving services at CAC.

The finished space includes:

• Simulated skylight fixtures that mimic natural light
• A cozy cabin nook for quiet moments of reflection and play
• A nature-themed open play area, complete with serene mountainous murals and realistic tree features

This project reflects our shared commitment to fostering environments that promote dignity, compassion, and healing. The Child Advocacy Center plays a vital role in providing trauma-informed care, forensic interviews, and therapeutic support to children affected by abuse in Monroe County. Their work is rooted in collaboration, bringing together law enforcement, medical professionals, social services, and child advocates to ensure children receive the care and justice they deserve.
