Nichols Construction Team took pride in being the selected General Contractor for the extensive 36,060 SF Design-Build Demolition and Renovation project at the previous Athletic Apex Health Club on Panorama Trail in Penfield. This site transformed into the headquarters for Durst Image Technology U.S., the US division of Durst Phototechnik AG. As a globally renowned manufacturer of digital inkjet printing systems for the imaging industry, Durst Phototechnik AG brought its world-class expertise to this new location. Thanks to GS-Plastic Optics for entrusting Nichols Construction Team to build a 10,000 sq/ft Injection Molding Manufacturing addition. The state-of-the-art addition will allow for the production of key optical components associated with a point-of-care product platform that powers rapid Covid tests, providing results in as little as 5 minutes.
