Nichols Construction Team design build services included a 120,000 sq ft prototype blood processing center. The American Red Cross has two essential missions: Disaster Relief and Blood Services. This is a regional blood services facility. This center collects blood and platelet donations and processes them for distribution to area hospitals. The Center accomplished a new facility design which became the worldwide standard for these facilities. The center includes areas for collection, process labs, cold storage and distribution. The center also houses the Red Cross Blood Services regional administrative offices.
