TEL TRU AND G&H (formerly GSPO)

Strategic Growth in Action: A Decade of Trusted Partnership

Since 2014, Nichols Construction Team has supported the evolving needs of the Germanow-Simon Companies through thoughtful, phased improvements across their Tel-Tru Manufacturing Co. facility—spanning all five floors and tailored to efficiency, workflow, and performance.

Our partnership reached a new milestone in 2022 with the ground-up construction of a new facility for G-S Plastic Optics (now G&H), reflecting a continued commitment to growth and innovation.

Featured projects—Tel Tru and G&H—highlight the depth and creativity of our collaboration and our shared vision for long-term success.

GERMANOW SIMON / TEL-TRU

No job is too big or too small for our Team! This project at the top floor of Germanow Simon/Tel-Tru Manufacturing allowed the Team to be creative in order to deliver a project that reflected the clients final vision. The renovation required the Nichols Team to think of creative solutions for displaying art in unconventional ways. Some of these solutions involved incorporating moving gallery walls for displaying paintings and photos as well as industrial themed hanging fixtures in order to display the artists’ work in a way that not only showcases the beauty of the art but also the vision of the artists. Though we are not new to a gallery or studio setting, we did not approach this project the same as prior projects. With the help of our skilled craftsmen we went to work creating a custom pieces that aesthetically matched the theme of the space. This included a workbench with a built in studio sink crafted from an old work bench. The team also refinished the original floors for the factory and used paint colors similar to the ones currently being used in the building and wood finishes that reflected the natural beauty of the room as well as helped enhance the natural light.

G&H

(formerly GS-Plastic Optics)

GS-Plastic Optics (G&H) selected Nichols Construction Team to build a 10,000 sq/ft Injection Molding Manufacturing addition. This addition was built to allow for production of key optical components used with a point-of-care product platform, that powers rapid Covid tests, providing results in as little as 5 minutes.
